With more than 15 years of performance experience and 10 years of teaching, Ying is a professional drummer who excels in many different musical styles, such as Jazz, Rock, Latin, Fusion, Funk, Big band, pop and more. To date, he has tutored more than 1,000 students across New Zealand, with some achieved unprecedented full score at St Cecilia School of Music, Australia- International Music Examination Boards. Apart from music educational achievement, Ying also actively participates in different music events, promoting the original music in New Zealand’s music industry.

He has been involved in numerous professional stage performances in various events across New Zealand, which includes:

• 2012 TVB International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship session band
• 2012 Global Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant New Zealand division guest performer
• 2012 Lin Qiu Teresa Teng Concert band
• 2013 New Zealand Voice of Asia national final session band
• 2014 “Battle of Bands” National Finalist
