While Gideon is one of our younger tutors here at the Academy, he already has fifteen years (and counting!) of playing experience with the guitar, currently playing, recording and performing with various bands of different themes and genres and as a soloist across the nation:

• Lead guitarist for Shepard’s Reign
• Composer/frontman for Gidzvoon with their recorded debut EP Mechanical Hearts
• National Battle of the Bands finalist for two consecutive years
• Lead guitarist for The Voice of China NZ Tour live band
• Frequent performer for Life NZ church

Energetic and proactive, he is keen in developing young musicians and years of teaching experience with students has shaped him into a well qualified guitar and musical theory tutor. Gideon is studying for a Bachelor of Musical Arts qualification and has broad knowledge in most contemporary genres, with his area of expertise in Pop, Rock and Metal.
