Olive is a violinist with over 15 years of playing and 8 years of performance experiences. She is heavily involved in orchestras and chamber groups across Auckland. As a music teacher for 6 years with the background as a registered nurse, she is experienced in teaching students from all kinds of learning capabilities and ages. Besides teaching, Olive is also active in various music events across Auckland.

Positions:

  • First Violin in Manukau Symphony Orchestra
  • First Violin in New Zealand Yellow River Symphony Orchestra
  • First Violin in Medical and Health Science Students’ Symphony Orchestra (2013)
  • Co-coordinator at Ad-hoc Auckland Chamber Music Group (2012-2014)
  • Member or various quartets across Auckland
  • Production Assistant for various classical and popular music concerts

  • ABRSM Grade 8 Violin Performance, passed with distinction
  • Certificate in Music Teaching
  • Macleans Chamber Orchestra Most Improved Player of the Year 2011
